Name Origin: Named after its locality.

Cleavage: {001} Perfect, {100} Good, {010} Good
Color: Green, Gray green, Yellow, Yellow brown, Reddish orange.
Density: 5.96 – 6.5, Average = 6.23
Diaphaneity: Transparent to translucent
Fracture: Uneven – Flat surfaces (not cleavage) fractured in an uneven pattern.
Hardness: 4 – Fluorite
Luminescence: Radioactive.
Luster: Resinous – Greasy
Streak: light brownish yellow
